A Boston Blueground studio

You’ve heard the saying “everything in its place,” but unless you’re an interior designer you can’t imagine what it takes to apply it to furnishing an apartment from scratch.

Blueground’s in-house team sets up hundreds of new apartments all over the world each year, and so our designers know what it takes to tailor furnishings and fittings to an architectural space.

“All of our apartments are carefully laid out by our in house furnishing team with our custom designed furniture,” Blueground’s Interior Design Manager Megan Wright told Blueprint. “Each apartment is laid out to maximize your space and create a cozy at-home flow.” She loves the efficient layout of this furnished studio apartment in Boston’s trendy Fort Point neighborhood.

This light-filled space is cleverly divided by the strategic placement of furniture, including custom pieces like the bookcase. “We have a range of furniture pieces designed to fit studios to 3 bedrooms all while keeping function in mind,” Megan said. This gorgeous apartment is located in Boston’s historic Fort Point district, a pocket-sized neighborhood between the Seaport, South Boston, and the Financial District.

The Institute of Contemporary Art Boston, a forward-looking museum that was founded in 1936 as a sister institution to New York City’s Museum of Modern Art, is located just a few short blocks away. The surrounding neighborhood is home to a number of art galleries and other creative organizations.

Fort Point is known not only for its art scene, but also as an incubator for the city’s culinary scene. Seafood aficionados will love Row 34, a sprawling temple to all the fruits of the sea. You can dine on some of the best lobster rolls in the world or order a la carte from the restaurant’s raw bar.

For the ultimate craft cocktail, head to Drink. The lovely old-fashioned brick interior may remind you of Cheers, but the drinks couldn’t be more sophisticated. The talented bartenders will create a drink to suit your mood on the spot!
