Pocket guide to student housing in Ghent
Ghent is a leading student city in Belgium, known for Ghent University, its historic centre, and a lively cultural and arts scene. It attracts undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as international students and Erasmus and other exchange participants. Finding housing can be challenging because availability is limited, lease terms vary, and arranging a reliable home from abroad may be difficult. Fully furnished private student housing in Ghent offers a practical option for students who want a ready-to-live-in rental without the complexity of sourcing furniture or managing a move remotely.
Blueground’s student apartments in Ghent provide fully furnished homes with move-in-ready interiors, dedicated study space, and high-speed internet. Flexible lease lengths can suit academic terms, Erasmus placements, exchange programmes, or longer study periods, subject to availability. Properties are located with access to universities, neighbourhood amenities, and public transport, helping students travel easily across the city. Depending on the property and agreement, bills may be included, and suitable homes can support shared living for students who prefer to split costs with housemates.
